Chinese Medicine Textbook Episode 7 The Heart Controls the Blood Part 1

2025December 8,

??"The heart controls the blood" - a vessel that surrounds life and contains the heart

Surrounding our bodies"Blood"is not just a carrier of nutrition or oxygen.
In Oriental medicine, blood is the moisture of life,Source of nourishing spirit (god)It is said.
The central being that produces that blood and circulates it throughout the body - that is the "heart".

? Controlling the bloodline: the heart surrounds life

"The heart governs the bloodline"This means that the heart is responsible for producing blood and circulating throughout the body through blood vessels (blood vessels).
The essence of water grains made by the spleen and stomach enters the heart through the lungs, and is dyed red by the "fire" of the heart, turning into blood and moisturizing the whole body.
If this function is healthy, the complexion will be bright, the skin and hair will be shiny, the pulse will be supple, and the mind will be kept calm.
On the other hand, if there is a lack of blood in the heart, both physical and mental disorders will appear, such as palpitations, insomnia, dull complexion, and difficulty concentrating.

? Nourishing the heart and blood with acupuncture

In acupuncture, acupuncture points such as the heart meridian, pericardial meridian, and spleen meridian are used to replenish and circulate the blood in the heart.

? Shinmon:It helps to stabilize the mind and prevent insomnia and anxiety.
? Shinyu:A key point in the heart on the back. Adjust the circle of heart and blood
I do.
? ?Medium: Located in the center of the chest, harmony of qi and blood.
Urge.
? Saninko: Regulate the spleen, liver, and kidneys and produce blood.
Help.

These pressure points are "quiet prescriptions" to nourish the blood of the heart and soothe the gods.

Common sense of the body Episode 89 "Anger accumulated in the spine"

2025In October 27.

Common Sense of the Body Episode 85 - Anger in the Throat

2025October 5 -

Discomfort in the throat?A condition in which the flow of qi in the throat is poor due to stress?Maybe.
In Oriental medicine, the flow of qi in the throat becomes poor and the feeling of discomfort as if something is stuck in the throat."Plum nucleus"It is called.

The throat is a point where emotions are easily revealed.
This can be seen from the fact that the voice emanating from the throat strongly reveals the psychological state.
Your voice gets louder when you're angry, and your voice gets quieter when you're anxious, right?

There is a way of thinking.
This is the idea that the mind and body are like mirrors, influencing each other.
The state of the body is projected onto the mind, and the state of mind is projected onto the body.

Stress such as tension, anxiety, and impatience is a burden on the mind, so to speak.
So your heart is suffering as much as the discomfort in your throat.

Are you trying to do more than you are capable of doing when you are nervous or impatient?
Isn't anxiety creating a future within yourself that doesn't work out?
Anger is "~ I have to do it!" "~ should be like this!" Don't you think too much?

Stress depends on your own way of thinking, and you should be controlling it to make it bigger yourself.
Please relax more and treat your heart softly.
Think more about things.

Are humans that perfect?
If you can't forgive others for their mistakes, are you that perfect?
Is someone who wants you perfection so perfect in every way?
I think that human beings are imperfect creatures who forget or fail even if they try hard.
When I think like this, whether I make a mistake or the other person makes a mistake, I think, "Well, I'm a human being, so I can't help it" and it's over (laughs).
But because it is imperfect,Isn't it true that people live in a group called family and society to make up for each other's shortcomings?

Common sense of the body Episode 80 Sleepiness after eating and blood sugar spikes may be the cause? Part 1

Blood sugar spikes are attracting attention as a cause of strong drowsiness after meals.
This phenomenon is difficult to detect during medical examinations, and it is difficult to notice because there are few subjective symptoms.

However, if left untreated, it can lead to various health problems. Let's take a closer look at what exactly a blood sugar spike is, why it occurs, and how it affects the body.

What is a blood sugar spike
A blood sugar spike refers to a condition in which blood sugar levels rise rapidly before and after a meal, followed by a sharp drop.
Blood sugar levels, which are the concentration of glucose in the blood, are controlled in the range of 70~100mg/dl in healthy people, and fluctuations with diet are gradual.

However, when a blood sugar spike occurs, this fluctuation becomes sudden and looks like a sharp "thorn" when viewed on a graph, hence the name.

Regular medical examinations only measure fasting blood sugar, making it difficult to determine the presence or absence of blood sugar spikes.
Therefore, noticing symptoms such as strong drowsiness and fatigue after eating is an important clue to discovery.

How blood sugar spikes occur
Blood sugar spikes occur when carbohydrates consumed in the diet are digested and taken up into the blood as glucose. Normally, when blood sugar levels rise, the pancreas secretes the hormone insulin, which controls blood sugar levels properly.

However, if the amount of insulin secretion decreases or the timing of secretion is delayed, blood sugar levels rise rapidly.

After that, a large amount of insulin is secreted in an attempt to lower the elevated blood sugar level, which in turn drops sharply.
This rapid fluctuation in rise and fall is the characteristic pattern of blood sugar spikes.
This phenomenon is also more likely to occur when eating too much, eating too quickly, or after a long period of hunger.

Effects on the body caused by blood sugar spikes
Blood sugar spikes have various negative effects on the body in the short and long term.
In the short term, symptoms such as strong drowsiness, sluggishness, and difficulty concentrating appear due to sudden fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
In particular, symptoms such as drowsiness and desire to sleep immediately after eating are characteristic.

In the long term, rapid fluctuations in blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels and promote arteriosclerosis.
Repeated blood sugar spikes can also increase the risk of diabetes in the future by reducing pancreatic function and affecting the amount and timing of insulin secretion.

In additionIt can also disrupt the balance of the autonomic nervous system and cause various physical ailments.
